About this roast
Smooth, sweet, and approachable, Sunrise Blend brings a lighter expression to the Joyhouse lineup. Built primarily around Brazilian coffees with a touch of East African coffee for added character, we roast Sunrise light to highlight notes of honey, candied orange, and almond.
The result is a silky, easy-drinking cup with gentle, balanced acidity and just enough citrus brightness to keep things lively. Sunrise shines as drip coffee or pour-over, where its soft body and layered sweetness come through beautifully. It also makes a sweet, structured light-roast espresso.
Origin & Sourcing
The green coffee for Sunrise Blend is sourced through Bellwether Coffee and combines coffees from Brazil and East Africa. The blend includes both natural- and washed-process coffees, using the body and sweetness of Brazilian coffee as its foundation, with East African coffee adding subtle layers and complexity.
As a multi-origin blend designed for consistency throughout the year, specific origins and varieties may change while maintaining the flavor profile we selected for Sunrise.
